THE ROLE OF THE OFFICE OF RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS IN PREVENTING EARLY MARRIAGE IN JAWAI DISTRICT, SAMBAS REGENCY

This research aims to analyze the role of the Religious Affairs Office of Jawai Subdistrict in preventing early marriage. It examines the influencing factors, as well as obstacles and solutions in preventing early marriage. The study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that the role of KUA Jawai Subdistrict is not yet optimal. Internal constraints include lack of facilities, limited budget, and human resource shortages, while external constraints involve low public awareness. The study suggests social media use and increased legal awareness campaigns as key strategies.
